The Special Benefit Service
The Special Benefit Service processes claims for reimbursement from the private participating pharmacies (PPP) which are reimbursed the cost of the drugs dispensed to beneficiaries on our behalf.
Beneficiaries of SBS include the following:
1. Persons 65 years of age and over;
2. Children under 16 years of age;
3. Persons, of any age, who receive prescribed Category A formulary drugs for the treatment of asthma, cancer, diabetes, epilepsy, glaucoma and/or hypertension
